- On Community service day, we are creating a video to submit to the Green Cup Challenge
- Hopefully, the video will be shown this Monday during Morning Meeting
- We are working on doing more announcements to keep people aware of the GCC and upcoming events and green tips
- We also discussed weather-proofing faculty homes and dorms to save energy
- GCAT is trying to get a representative in each dorm to help make the dorm more green
- We are looking into possibly having candle-light sit-down lunches on Thursday and reducing the security lighting on campus to save energy
Green Tip of the Week!
Many people at WRA use a laptop everyday. In conjunction with GCAT's energy reduction program, here are a few tips to save energy while you do homework, surf the web, or watch movies. Not only will you be saving electricity, but you'll be saving yourself the hassle of always looking for an outlet!

Leader Meeting 1/10/11
Today we had a leader meeting to discuss the Green Cup Challenge and other upcoming events and ideas.
GREEN CUP CHALLENGE!
WRA will be participating in the Green Cup Challenge, which begins January 21 and ends February 21. Basically it is a competition with other schools around the country to see which school can reduce their energy consumption the most. GCAT leaders will be taking meter readings each week to track our progress. Our results will be compared to those of other competing schools. Please feel free to ask the GCAT leaders if you have any questions and we are always open to ideas about how we can make WRA more earth friendly.

Exam Week
Hello All!
Exam week always generates tons of recycleables! From notes to cans of caffine filled drinks, the recycling bins around campus get full rather quickly. If you have a moment, take a study break and empty one of the bins. The GCAT Spars will appreciate it!

Welcome to GCAT
Hey GCAT Team!
As the new year begins, I'm looking for any advice on how to make the GCAT website more user-friendly! Ideally, this should be the place you can go to answer any questions you have about what you should be doing, what everyone else is doing, the long and short term goals of GCAT, and the next time we're meeting. Also, it is a place where the entire Reserve community can learn more about green living, through tips, articles, videos, etc. Let me know what YOU want to see on the website! Email me anytime at clarke@wra.net
See you all on Thursday!

Welcome to GCAT!
Hello Members of GCAT!
After our first meeting, if you have any questions or comments, or have any sugestions on what we can do as a group, feel free to contact anyone on the leadership team, or respond to this post. Also, any ideas on fundraising events would be especially appreciated.
Thanks!
